Discount Labels (DL) and Express Labels (EL) are label manufacturers and sellers, and both are subsidiaries of Brook + Whittle. Both companies use physical label samples and label image renderings as marketing materials for their customers. DIscount Labels sells wholesale to distributors while Express Labels sells direct to end users.

In order to fulfill marketing needs, DL and EL both require sample label designs to demonstrate production capabilites to customers. Since DL sells wholesale, it cannot use real customer samples in marketing materials. EL can use real customer samples, but requires approval from customers. To supplement EL and fulfill DL’s needs, I created mock label samples for print and web use.

The sample label designs have been used throughout marketing materials for EL and DL including emails, web images, sales sheets, brochures, direct mail, and catalogs. The sales team continues to use the sample labels to inform customers and win business for DL and EL.
